Washoe County Airport Authority wants to house U.S. Postal center

Authority trustees agreed this week to double the amount of money their executive director can spend on a temporary home for the regional sorting hub.

They raised the spending authority from $2.7 million to $5.9 million.

The postal service's western hub is currently based in Oakland. But the service plans to begin operating the end of August at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
