About 50 firefighters were called about 3:30 p.m. to the home. They were able to put the fire out before it spread to other attached homes, but the house was destroyed.
One witness said the fire started in a bedroom of the house.
A 28-year-old woman, her 6-year-old daughter and the woman's 21-year-old boyfriend were taken to University Medical Center after suffering from smoke inhalation. A 26-year-old man who also lives in the home and one firefighter suffered second-degree burns and were also taken to the hospital, said Las Vegas Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski.
Szymanski said the fire is under investigation.
