Letter: Majority must retake nation from media, liberals

I felt a great sense of pride; these kids are the future leaders of our great nation. To be able to be there gave me a lot of comfort and hope about our future. These kids are good, hard-working, hard-playing people. These young people are not whiners, who complained about getting up too early and working too hard at school, nor did these kids feel that their rights had been infringed upon. They do not feel that life is not fair.

These young people are doers. These young people are the cream of the crop. They, like most of their peers, are good kids. In fact, youth violence across the nation is down. This is not something the media or this administration wants to talk about. The media did not even bother to cover this event.

When I went to school, there were gun clubs that students belonged to. We were taught to shoot .22s at Boy Scout camp. We never heard of kids shooting up their school. When I went to school parents were able to hit their kids. I got hit often. I turned out OK.

Gun control is not the answer to our problems. We need to get these liberal socialists out of our families. Parents and teachers need to be able to discipline our kids again and, yes, we need to bring prayer back to the classroom. The liberals and the media have destroyed our nation. We, however, are the majority and we must take our nation back.
