Teacher to be reassigned after accessing pornographic websites using school computer

Walter Otto will be suspended for the maximum time allowed by law and will be reassigned to a teaching position at the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center in Stateline this fall, school district officials said.

Because no crime occurred, Otto could not be fired from his job, the officials said.

An agreement on the matter was reached between the school district and Otto's lawyer.

A district press release criticized Otto's "unprofessional conduct in accessing adult Internet sites utilizing a computer assigned to his classroom."
