Reno-Sparks CVA hires two new directors

Deanna Ashby, former marketing and public relations manager at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno, is the new director of advertising and marketing services.

George Toly, former owner of a business that sold golf packages in Arizona, is the new director of tourism and sports programs.

Meanwhile, Jerry Smith has been named operations manager of the National Bowling Stadium in downtown Reno. He was general manager of the bowling center at the Pinon Plaza hotel-casino in Carson City.

The authority is charged with promoting tourism in the Reno area.
