Merrilee Ann Burkhart

Merrilee Ann Burkhart, 50, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 24, 1949, in Los Angeles. A resident for 19 years, she was a technician for a developmental center.

She is survived by her husband, Vincent; one daughter, Jennifer McCarthy of Henderson; her mother, Estelle Lendzion, four brothers, Robert Lendzion, Butch Lendzion, Leonard Lendzion and James Lendzion, all of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Bonnie J. Frogner

Bonnie J. Frogner, 77, of Las Vegas died Oct. 29 in Las Vegas. She was born July 23, 1922, in Kansas. A resident for 32 years, she was a switchboard operator.

She is survived by one son, Dock Hinman of North Dakota.

Donald Lee Galardi

Donald Lee Galardi, 48, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1951, in Los Angeles. A resident for one year, he was a warehouseman and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce E. and Tibor Marko of Las Vegas; two sisters, Kathrynn L. Holder of Temecula, Calif., and Teri G. Galardi of Las Vegas; four nephews and two nieces.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Mary Lane Harvey

Mary Lane Harvey, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 17, 1942, in Hot Springs, Ark. A resident for 30 years, she was a hospital nurse.

She is survived by one son, Kermit Jefferson, and two daughters, LaMarria Jefferson and Tristian Jefferson, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Glenn Lane and Melvin Lane, both of Las Vegas, and Otis Lane of Chicago; two sisters, Mattie Lane and Addie Lane, both of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will be private.

Asteria M. Inocencio

Asteria M. Inocencio, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1924, in the Philippines. A resident for five years, she was a retired bank clerk.

She is survived by one son, Rodrigo Inocencio of Las Vegas; one daughter, Aurora Vera, and two sisters, Amelia Montserrat and Minerva Corcega, all of the Philippines; one brother, Jimmy Montserrat of Oregon; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

David I. Lockitch

David I. Lockitch, 51, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born Feb. 11, 1948, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 45 years, he was an attorney and a member of the USC Alumni.

He is survived by two sisters, Susan Baller and Marilyn Lockitch, both of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Pacifico Sevilla Mateo

Pacifico Sevilla Mateo, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 22, 1918, in the Philippines. A resident for 16 years, he was an employee for the Philippines government.

He is survived by two sons, Ramon Mateo and Cris Mateo; six daughters, Cristina, Aida, Myrna, Zeny, Cora and Dely; one brother, Quirico; one sister, Mabini; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11:30 a.m. Thursday with noon services in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Bernard G. Ozuna

Bernard G. Ozuna, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Jean. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, he was a retired painter, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Rosario; six daughters, Norma Perdue, Patricia Thielen, Naomi Ozuna, Cheryl Ozuna and Christina Robles, all of Las Vegas, and Jackie Tubbs of Oakland, Calif.; one son, Gerald Ozuna of Monrovia, Calif.; three sisters, Eleanore Hernandez of San Jose, Calif., and Rosalva Flores and Lupe Corral, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Frank Ozuna of Pico Rivera, Calif., and Andrew Ozuna and Richard Ozuna, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be noon Friday in Shadow Hills Baptist Church, 4400 W. Oakey Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Mary Rose Powers

Mary Rose Powers, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 18, 1916, in Hicksville, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, she was a secretary for an aircraft manufacturer and a Desert Springs Hospital volunteer.

She is survived by one sister, Adelaide McLaughlin of Las Vegas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation and rosary was scheduled 2-5 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Elmer Henry Somers

Elmer Henry Somers, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A foreman for a farm equipment operator, an Army veteran and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Illinois.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Maudine; two stepdaughters, Sharon Moores of Pioneer, Calif., and Judy Wilson of Fairfield, Calif.; two brothers, L. Thomas Somers and James P. Somers, both of Decatur, Ill.; three sisters, Maxine Knauer-Rieger of Forest, Ill., Inez Somers-Bowen and Agnes K. Fleischauer of Herscher, Ill.

Lillian Stybel

Lillian Stybel, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 29, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for six years, she was a retired mail clerk in the medical profession.

She is survived by two sons, Marty Stybel of Las Vegas and Richard Stybel of Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Elaine Stybel of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Denby Blake Wade

Denby Blake Wade, 82, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born July 7, 1917, in St. George, Utah. A resident for 58 years, he was a retired firefighter and deputy sheriff.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy May; one daughter, Gloria Steel of Salt Lake City; one son, Lawrence Wade of Las Vegas; three sisters, Doris Simon of Las Vegas, Elizabeth Kemp of North Las Vegas and La Ree Mackey of San Antonio; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in the LDS chapel, Pebble Road and Wigwam Parkway, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Susan Elaine Walker, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 15, 1954, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for 36 years, she was a valet at Bally's, a Valley High School graduate and attended UNLV.

She is survived by her husband, John S.; one son, Dustin J. Carrison of Henderson; her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Carrison, and one brother, Anthony C. Carrison, both of Las Vegas; and three nephews.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Melodie Wielgorecki

Melodie Wielgorecki, 45, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 19, 1954, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. A resident for 27 years, she was an accounting clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Autumn Bell of California; one son, Jordan Wielgorecki, one daughter, Carly Wielgorecki, one brother, Fred Woodard, and one sister, Kelly Herb, all of Nevada; and one grandson.
