1st Race -- Super Ciel - Rated, made bid and won at Bay Meadows in last, in the quinella 24 of 57 lifetime starts with 14 wins and 6 of 17 this year with a trio of victories, has 9 wins at this distance, ships south and Pincay now, good rail post. Roman Cuzzin - Gate-to-wire winner in last, 5 of 11 lifetime victories at this distance, 2-for-7 at Hollypark and 3-for-6 this year, hustling Espinoza stays, should be a forward factor all the way. Value Play -- Master Carson
2nd Race -- Dozey Doats - Finally drops to claimer after nine unsuccessful maiden-breaker attempts, finished first but disqualified three races back on turf, Pat Val. should make the most of her speed here, a diploma theft is on agenda. Stefandrew - Rallied wide from off rail post at this distance for second-place effort in needed outing in last, Sahadi trainee reunites with McCarron for this, draws another inner post, but had tightener, part of entry with Slewpy in the Sky. Value Play -- Delmarlady
3rd Race -- Kimme A Star - Stalked and outfinished to 4th in restricted grass stakes at Anita in last, steadied while 3rd before that, has had tough trips since maiden breaker five races back, hustling Pedroza stays. Russemira - Stalked in 4th early, then rallied to win by daylight in debut for maiden breaker in last, pair of solid works since raced, draws inner post here, Pincay returns, could come right back with another trip like last for another win. Value Play -- Shot Blocker
4th Race -- Bright Victory - 1st time starter by Devil His Due, smart works highlighted by a trio of bullet drills on the tab with two over this track, trainer Matlow batting 26% this year with limited opportunities, good spot for diploma action. Writehof - Another 1st time starter, this one by Peterhof, has short worktab but nice gate drill on 10/21, Stevens see enough to take call on Ward trainee, inner post, well placed, not impressed with known factors in this. Value Play -- Wall Street Rally
5th Race -- Greedy Gal - Fractions at the gate and still rallied with late bid for 4th in last, stalked, steadied and close second at Bay Meadows before that, P. Val. takes over on Jory trainee, should be a factor throughout. Slewreen - 5-wide and closing 4th sprinting in last, speed and weakened while claimed in route before that, broke maiden at Hollypark, Black back, versatility is a plus. Value Play -- Bridge to Freedom
6th Race -- Lagardere - Returns to races after freshening on solid worktab, 4-wide and finished fast for close 4th at Del Mar early September in last, 4th before that, draws good inside post, Stevens now for Thoroughbred Corp. Bid and Offer - Troubled trip in comeback while 6th to split the field in last, 6th before that, debut 3rd three races back, stretches out now, Delahoussaye stays on Ellis trainee, could graduate with Bid and Offer. Value Play -- Lord Of Speed
7th Race -- Arctic Prize - Stalked and 3rd off a year layoff in last, broke maiden on turf at Anita early October '98, pair of works since raced, P. Val. stays on Shulman trainee, draws good inner post, had race, beware. Hushed Victory - Set pace and held 2nd on Anita lawn in last, tracked, steadied and 3rd before that, only start over this course was a close second-place effort in July, Solis back on McAnally trainee, must overcome outside post. Value Play -- My Antonino
8th Race -- Benvolio - Speed from rail post then faded at a mile in debut in last, sharp short drill since raced, drops to claimer and shortens up to sprint distance here, McCarron takes over on Hofmans trainee, graduation forthcoming. K. D. Finlay - Returns to races with steady works, made strong wide rally from outside post for second early-January in last, another runner up effort in the mud at Hollypark early-December '98, could fire fresh for diploma in this.
