Charlie Lee Barger

Charlie Lee Barger, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Colorado. A resident for 18 years, he was a certified nurse's aide and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Janet.

Raymond C. Berlandier

Raymond C. Berlandier, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1931, in Bangkok, Thailand. A resident for six years, he was a retired laboratory operator for a chemical manufacturer and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine M.; one daughter, Renee C. Berlandier of Hurst, Texas; one son, Christopher P. Berlandier of Coto De Caza, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Vartan Buduzyan

Vartan Buduzyan, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1949, in Armenia. A resident for three years, he was a shoemaker.

He is survived by his wife, Zarohi; two daughters, Maria Buduzyan, Silva Buduzyan and Varaujan Buduzyan, his mother, Serpouhi Buduzyan, and one sister, Zarohi Megrikian, all of California.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Roy Frank Butler

Roy Frank Butler, 81, of Logandale died Tuesday in Logandale. He was born March 2, 1918, in Detroit. A resident for 10 years, he was a firearms machinist for 30 years and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Phillips and Cheryl Lester, both of Michigan; and one brother, Harold Butler of Southfield, Mich.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the National Rifle Association.

Vera P. Favero

Vera P. Favero, 89, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born June 23, 1910, in Sunrise, Wyo. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired civil service associate.

She is survived by one son, Richard Favero of Las Vegas; one daughter, Joanne Watson of Henderson; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday in Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Michael Finch

Michael Finch, 34, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a San Diego hospice. He was born Jan. 26, 1965, in San Diego. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired airline ticket agent.

He is survived by his companion, Georgia McCullom of San Diego; his mother, Kathleen Valentine of Boulder City; his father and stepmother, William J. and Susana Finch of Las Vegas; two sisters, Becky Forget of North Las Vegas and Shelly Naunberg of Missouri.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Corner Stone Christian Church. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

John Edward Hart

John Edward Hart, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1926, in Illinois. A resident for 20 years, he was a truck driver and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Teresa; two sons, James Michael Hart and Patrick John Hart; four daughters, Kathleen, Maureen, Eileen and Geraldine; two brothers, Vincent and William; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Doris Anna Hendricksen

Doris Anna Hendricksen, 79, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Jamaica, N.Y. A resident for five months, she was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane Hendricksen of Canyon Country, Calif.; one son, William Hendricksen of Henderson; two sisters, Claire Holler of Tuckerton, N.J., and Jennifer Brontsema of Oregon; and one grandchild.

Joseph Edward Hrabica

Joseph Edward Hrabica, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Beaver Falls, Pa. A resident for 10 years, he retired in 1980 as a Conrail engineer after 45 years of service and was a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; two daughters, Carole Glaab and Janice McGrew, both of Las Vegas; one son, Gerald Hrabica of Vernon, Conn.; five grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Charlotte L. Jackson

Charlotte L. Jackson, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 1, 1928, in Newburgh, Ind. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired postal clerk and a Korean War Navy veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotta Jackson, and two sons, Arthur Jackson and Waldemar Jackson, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jerry Lowery and Irvin Sallee, both of Evansville, Ind.; 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in the Great Commission Baptist Church. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Harriet Renee Jennings-Chapin

Harriet Renee Jennings-Chapin, 42, of Las Vegas died Monday. She was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she did convention cleaning at trade shows and was an Air Force veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two sons, Jonathan and Robert Jennings; one daughter, Whitney Chapin; her mother, Ada Jeffrion; three brothers, Angelo Jennings, Anthony Jennings and Keith Jennings Sr.; and two sisters, Leslie Jennings and Lydia Jeffrion.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Laurie Patricia Johnson

Laurie Patricia Johnson, 42, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born March 16, 1957, in Reno. A resident for most of her life, she was a mortgage company supervisor.

She is survived by her father, Michael Charles Johnson; her mother, Bettie B. Johnson; and one brother, Mark P. Johnson.

Robert J. Krieger

Robert J. Krieger, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Lockport, Ill. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired engineer for a titanium metal firm and a World War II Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Catherine Kimmel of Clovis, Calif., and Edviga Krieger of Oakland, Calif.; one son, David Krieger of Switzerland; two sisters, Audrey Stevenin of California and Nancy Evans of Illinois; one brother, Harry Krieger of Illinois; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Maxine Leslie

Maxine Leslie, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Provo, Utah. A resident for 41 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a plumbing wholesaler.

She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Debbie Sullivan of Henderson; one son, Mark Leslie of Las Vegas; one brother, Clarence Harding of Mapleton, Utah; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert Raymond McCarthy

Robert Raymond McCarthy, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1913, in New York. A resident for 14 years, he was a senior electronics technician.

He is survived by two sons, Jim McCarthy and Bob McCarthy; two daughters, Jerilyn Sheldon and Pat Saiz; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Geraldine L. McRoy

Geraldine L. McRoy, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 7, 1918, in Missouri. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired hotel chief operator and a member of Teamsters Local 995.

She is survived by one daughter, Aline Widell of Las Vegas; one brother, Eli Holifield of Missouri; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Elvin E. Mues

Elvin E. Mues, 82, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Arapahoe, Neb. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired construction inspector for the federal government and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, June; one daughter, JoAnn Aronson of Yorkville, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:45 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mausoleum, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Helen Rose Pulkkinen

Helen Rose Pulkkinen, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 22, 1914, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Rene; one daughter, Dolores Breckt of Las Vegas; two brothers, Harry Czajkowski of Michigan and Adam Czajkowski of Mississippi; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Susan Steigerwald

Susan Steigerwald, 44, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 1, 1955, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was a UNLV graduate student, taught English at UNLV, was a member of Shakespeare Association of America, loved gardening, arts and music.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas G.; two daughters, Sara Steigerwald and Emily Steigerwald, both of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Jeanne Townsend of Kings Park, N.Y., Gerri Donahue of Brentwood, N.Y., and Barbara Tunnicliffe of Dolgeville, N.Y.; and one brother, John King of Boston.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today and one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Khaddouji Washington

Khaddouji Washington, 59, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Morocco. A resident for 19 years, she was a Flamingo hotel-casino housekeeper for more than 10 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Fatiha Washington of Las Vegas; her mother, Fatna Salih of Casablanca, Morocco; four sisters, M'Barka Hargett of Columbia, S.C., Aicha Ricciardi of Marseille, France, and Mina Chakib and Zohra Chalfoouni, both of Casablanca; and one granddaughter, Marzaka Washington of Las Vegas.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
