Wells Fargo buying bank for $33 mil. in stock

SAN FRANCISCO -- Wells Fargo & Co. said today it agreed to acquire Napa National Bancorp of Napa, Calif., for $33 million in stock.
Privately held Napa National operates four banking offices in California's Napa Valley and has assets of $160 million.
Banking giant Wells Fargo, with $201 billion in assets, is a big player in Nevada and is based in San Francisco. It was created this year by the merger of Wells Fargo and Norwest banks.
