The combination of apathy and hostility makes it difficult for well-qualified federal (or state) employees to feel secure or appreciated or do the jobs necessary for the benefit of all. As a result, extremists on both sides dominate the debate with unreasonable words and actions. Thanks for giving aid and comfort to moderates on both sides.
