Casino supplier sold

American Gaming & Electronics Inc., a gaming parts and services company with operations in Las Vegas, has been acquired by Wells-Gardner Electronics Corp. of Chicago.

American Gaming has headquarters in Atlantic City and Hollywood, Fla. Terms of the acquisition, scheduled to close in January, were not disclosed.

Wells-Gardner supplies video monitors to a variety of industries, including gaming manufacturers. Its largest gaming customers include Las Vegas-based Anchor Gaming. Wells-Gardner officials say they plan to expand the Las Vegas office, which now employs eight people. The office handles parts distribution and servicing.

"That's key, because we're supplying monitors ... now we'll be able to do their servicing in Las Vegas," said Mark Komorowski, Wells-Gardner's vice president of sales. "We want to expand."

Over the first nine months of 1999, Wells-Gardner reported sales of $29.3 million and net income of $190,000. Once complete, gaming-related sales will account for 60 percent of Wells-Gardner's projected revenues.
