Flights diverted by federal rules

Airport Director Cris Jensen said compounding the problems of the new Federal Aviation Administration rule was a weekend failure of the radio beacon used by pilots.

Jensen said the FAA has a new approach procedure for missed flights after making a similar landing approach in Elko recently.

Once that is on hand, Jensen said things should return to normal at the airport.
