Transportation costs push up LV prices

Transportation costs increased 2.8 percent in the Las Vegas area in October, driving an overall increase of 0.3 percent in the local cost of living, First Security Bank said in its monthly cost of living report.

The bank said grocery prices declined 1.5 percent in October, but prices rose for transportation, clothing (0.5 percent) and restaurant meals (0.9 percent).
