Letter: Mayor shows he's man of the people

One man who was invited along with everyone else came to this festive dinner. He got in line with the hundreds who were invited. There were no television cameras following him, no newspaper reporters and no city entourage. He made no speeches, but shook the hands and talked to each person who came up to him, rich and poor alike.

I have lived in this great city for more than 30 years and I'm also a volunteer for the City Mission. I want the people of Las Vegas to know the name of this man. He is our mayor, Oscar Goodman. He is truly a mayor for all, and I mean all, the people of Las Vegas.
