Semi passenger dead in wreck

Robert Crosby, 42, of Applegate, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nevada Highway Patrol said the victim was a passenger in the cab of an eastbound semi that drifted off the roadway and rolled. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver, Stormy Tomish, 44, of Auburn, Calif., was listed in critical condition at Washoe Medical Center in Reno.

Tomish also was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

An investigation into the 5:30 a.m. accident is under way.
