Jessie Jewell Beck

Jessie Jewell Beck, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 1, 1910, in San Antonio. A resident for 14 years, she was a librarian at Lackland Air Force Base and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy and Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Wade H. Beck Sr.; one son, Wade Beck Jr., and Chrystal Thomas, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Gerald E. Bonneau

Gerald E. Bonneau, 99, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 29, 1899, in Tekamah, Neb. A resident for 11 years, he was a farmer and a California school district employee.

He is survived by three daughters, Roma Johnson of Henderson and Violet Madsen and Arda Hewitt, both of Boulder City; one son, Donald Bonneau of Henderson; one sister, Evelyn Goff of Sioux City, Iowa; and one brother, Russell Bonneau of Omaha, Neb.

Visitation will be 7 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will be in Nebraska.

Richard Cino Sr.

Richard Cino Sr., 70, of Henderson died Thursday in Henderson. He was born June 5, 1929, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for two years, he was a gas station owner-operator and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy; one daughter, Maria Cino of Alexandria, Va.; two sons, Joseph Cino of Las Vegas and Richard Cino Jr. of Henderson; two brothers, Stephen Cino of Las Vegas and Casper Cino of Buffalo, N.Y.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Joyce Collins

Joyce Collins, 44, of Las Vegas died Aug. 27 in Las Vegas. She was born June 19, 1955, in California. A resident for many years, she was a hotel-casino service representative.

She is survived by her parents, Ray and Verna Collins of California; and one sister, Ma'Walika Holt of Ohio.

Anne Crowder, 43, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A longtime resident, she was born July 1, 1956.

William Harold Dooley

William Harold Dooley, 49, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1949, in Elko. A resident for 26 years, he was an Army veteran and a member of Teamsters Local 631.

He is survived by his wife, Etti; one son, Barry Dooley, and one daughter, Arlette Dooley, both of Las Vegas; two sons, W.H. Dooley III of Brunswick, Ga., and Patrick Dooley of Fort Worth, Texas; his father, William Dooley Sr. of Utah; and three grandsons.

Jeremy Ashton Dyer

Jeremy Ashton Dyer, 25, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 24, 1974, in Fort Ord, Calif. A resident for most of his life, he was a tile setter in the construction industry, enjoyed music, bass guitar and his diverse group of friends.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Laurie and Jim Teagarden of Boulder City; his father and stepmother, Tom and Karen Dyer, one sister, Bredette Dyer, three brothers, Benjamin Dyer, Nicholas Dyer and Zachary Dyer, and his grandparents, Rosemary Ashton, and Richard and Renee Dyer, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial gathering will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Vibeke Dysart

Vibeke Dysart, 75, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 31, 1924, in Sparks. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Edith Dyan Crawford of North Las Vegas; three sisters, Bonnie Lakotas of Reno, Dorie Davis of Santa Maria, Calif., and Sharon Eikanas of San Jose, Calif.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Dwayne Michael Fields, 37, of Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 5, 1962, in Kansas. A resident for 30 years, he was a boat shop salesman and serviceman.

Helen M. Green, 82, of Las Vegas died Aug. 27 in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for 14 years, she was an apartment building manager for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Edward K.; one daughter, Darlene H. Alheim of Worth, Ill.; one sister, Terry Tomasso of Mount Prospect, Ill.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Andrew Michael Hagen

Andrew Michael Hagen, died Tuesday, his date of birth, in a local hospital.

He is survived by his parents, Cecelia and David Hagen, and one sister, Courtney Hagen, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Harlan and Jerry Ann Hagen of Las Vegas, Mary Jane Hetland of St. Paul, Minn., and David P. Wetzel Sr. of Maplewood, Minn.

Bruce N. Hickland

Bruce N. Hickland, 59, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1940, in Sturbridge, Mass. A resident for five years, he was a retired drilling and blasting superintendent, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of American Legion Post 40 of Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Renee; two sons, Kirk Tallis of Westland, Mich., and Mason Hickland of Newport News, Va.; one daughter, Nola Hickland of Holland, Mass.; one brother, George Hickland of Fiskdale, Mass.; and one grandchild.

William Fred Hooper

William Fred Hooper, 60, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born June 5, 1939, in Annabella, Utah. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired director of purchasing for the Coleman Co. in Wichita, Kan., and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Ada Marie; three sons, William Hooper and Scott Hooper, both of Henderson, and Lawrence Hooper of Las Vegas; one daughter, Elizabeth Flanagan of Henderson; two sisters, Evelyn Carter of Provo, Utah, and Adelia Paulson of Richfield, Utah; two brothers, Keith Hooper of Richfield and Richard Hooper of Newport, Ore.; and seven grandchildren.

Gregory Dwayne Jackson

Gregory Dwayne Jackson, 29, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1969, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 25 years, he was a butcher at Binion's Horseshoe.

He is survived by one daughter, Anika Sharon Jackson, his mother, Barbara Jackson Owens, and his father, Charlie Banks, all of Las Vegas.

Joyce 'Jodi' Kidder

Joyce 'Jodi' Kidder, 31, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 12, 1967, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a dog groomer.

She is survived by her mother, Ellen Kidder, two sisters, Shirley Blake and Debbie Johnson, and two brothers, Richard Kidder and Gary Kidder, all of Las Vegas.

Sandra Lee Maxson, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Monroe, Mich. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George M.; one daughter, Cheryl L. Reilly of Henderson; one son, Mark J. Maxson of San Francisco; one sister, Charlene Chaytor of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Ada McElroy, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born May 17, 1918, in Ashland, Ky. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired hospital nurse's aide.

She is survived by four sisters, Carol Simon and Betty Johnson, both of Las Vegas, Dottie Staggs or Orlando, Fla., and Harriett Staggs of Wooster, Ohio.

Donald Newiger

Donald Newiger, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1913, in New York. A resident for six years, he was a physician and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Hilary Baggs of Las Vegas and Chris Melendez of Colorado; two sons, Scott Newiger and Dan McCoy, and his mother, Jean Newiger, all of California; and two sisters, Dolores Lungston of Las Vegas and Barbara Banks of California.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Barbara L. Ripley

Barbara L. Ripley, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1936, in Cleveland. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one brother, Joseph Schebek of Seven Hills, Ohio; and one sister, Janice Schebek of Cleveland.

Charlotte Ripullo

Charlotte Ripullo, 79, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 25, 1920, in Burlington, Kan. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; three sons, Jerry Gilman of Wichita, Kan., and Edward Gilman and Floyd Gilman, both of North Las Vegas; two grandsons and one great-grandchild.

Thomas C. Samsel

Thomas C. Samsel, 51, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1948, in Minneapolis. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired substance control counselor, an Army veteran, a recipient of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 combat infantryman badges and a Marksman Badge with rifle bar.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; four stepchildren, Tawnya Marty, Peter Marty, Jeannie Waite and Jennifer Smith, and one brother, Kevin Samsel, all of Minnesota; two sisters, Linda Lutz of Minnesota and Mare Marek of New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews.

LaSalle Monsuier Smith, 34, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 17, 1965, in Mississippi. A resident for many years, he was an auto supplies sales manager.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Lee Smith; and his mother, Felissa Smith of Mississippi.

Paula Westfall

Paula Westfall, 43, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 11, 1956, in Heber, Utah. A resident for nearly all her life, she was a homemaker, past president of the Pahrump Valley Rough Riders, a member of the Southern Nevada Gymkhana Association and was a well-known dog breeder.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; four daughters, Marci Cox, Nina Stone, Mindy Cox and Mandy Cox, and one son, Robby Westfall, all of Las Vegas; her parents, Lester and Donna Cannon of Hurricane, Utah; her mother, Margaret Sullins of Hilo, Hawaii; two sisters, Cindy Chapman of Pahrump and Diane Meikle of Hurricane; one brother, Russell Cannon of Las Vegas; and two stepbrothers, Philip Wright of Washington, Utah, and David Wright of Las Vegas.

Hazel Russell Wolfley

Hazel Russell Wolfley, 104, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 7, 1895, in Fairmont, W.Va. A resident for seven years, she was a retired insurance secretary. She performed more than 5,000 hours of volunteer service at Riverside Methodist Hospital and was a lifetime member of its hospital guild and volunteers in Columbus, Ohio, and was a member of Vista Woman's Club and Grandmothers Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy N. Vickers of Las Vegas and Mary Johnson of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, E.J. Russell of Delaware, Ohio; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
