The Clark County Commission on Wednesday introduced a long-discussed ordinance that increases the required distance between adult-oriented businesses from 500 feet to 1,000 feet.
The ordinance requested by Commissioner Lance Malone had twice been pulled from the commission agenda before commissioners agreed to move forward Wednesday. A public hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sept. 22.
Malone, concerned businesses denied by the city were seeking county licenses, had planners draw up the ordinance to match the city of Las Vegas' law.
