Reno-area Labor Day best in eight years

The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority says said on Monday that hotels had an average 95.3 percent occupancy level during the three-day weekend. That was up 2.6 percent from last year.
Motels boasted an 87.4 percent occupancy.
The number of hotel rooms nights during the three-day holiday was 47,666. The tally represents one room occupied one night. It's up 5.3 percent from last Labor Day.
