Letter: Voters refuse to blame themselves
Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000 | 11:55 a.m.
I have voted in three states in my life and have never been to a polling place that didn't have ample volunteers to help show voters how to vote, what to do with ballots once they voted, and what to do if they made a mistake. Voters have no one to blame but themselves if they didn't cast a legal ballot.
I feel we were much better off as a nation when people knew they had to be responsible for their own actions, instead of casting blame all over the place every time something goes awry.
