Ten arrested in Big Island gambling raid

All 10, ages 21 to 50, were released pending further investigation, police said. Nine had Hilo addresses and one lives in Puna.

Police saidthe raid at Reyn's Repair in the Hilo industrial area early Thursday ended a six-week stakeout of the illegal operations.

Lt. Henry Tavares said a craps dice game was in progress when police raided the site. He said the investigation extends beyond those arrested, and that numerous others involved in prior dice games will be sought.

Police seized $9,000 cash and gambling equipment.
