Slot maker acquires cashless slot rights

Konami Gaming Inc. acquired a license for certain patent rights owned by Anchor Gaming, International Game Technology and MGM MIRAGE for cashless gaming systems, Anchor said.

The agreement includes undisclosed financial terms, including device fees.

"Cashless gaming continues to gain acceptance from within the gaming industry and with casino customers. Anchor Gaming is pleased that a major international company has acknowledged the value of these patents and will incorporate this technology into its games," said Anchor Gaming Chief Executive T.J. Matthews.
