Tourism leader to take Lake Las Vegas post

Tom Tait, the Nevada Commission on Tourism's executive director for the past nine years, has resigned to take a position with Lake Las Vegas Resort.
Tait, who spent a total of 12 years in commission roles, will become vice president of business development, government and community affairs for the 2,245-acre resort in Henderson.
He'll join the resort, owned by Transcontinental Properties Inc., Santa Barbara, Calif., on Jan. 2.
Lt. Gov. Lorraine Hunt, who oversees the commission, announced Tait's resignation Friday, but did not say who might be in line to succeed him.
"He is internationally recognized as an effective communicator and administrator whose endeavors as a tourism leader have served Nevada well," Hunt said.
