Construction defects alleged

Whitney Ranch Homeowners Association sued American West Homes Inc. of Las Vegas and American West Development Inc., alleging defects in the irrigation systems and landscape areas of its project in Henderson.
American West officials could not be reached for comment.
Separately, Waters Edge Community Association sued Waters Edge LLC and two Waters Edge officials, Steven Rebeil and Clyde Turner; Gem Homes Inc. and Summer Shores Ltd., alleging defects in its 48-unit condominium complex in Boulder City.
The defendants could not be reached for comment.
