Internet rapist sought by Sparks police

Timothy Mobly, 25, skipped town a few days before his sentencing last June and hasn't been seen since. He was free on $20,000 bail at the time.

Mobly pleaded guilty to raping two local women, ages 24 and 17, he had met over the Internet.

Police got nearly 10 tips from across the country after he was featured twice on the "America's Mosted Wanted" television show.

"We checked all of them, but none turned out to be valid," police Lt. Ken Lightfoot said, adding investigators now are seeking new leads.

Mobly's accomplice, Aaron Cross, 26, must serve 20 years in prison before he becomes eligible for parole.
