Letter: Defendant's rights are overdone

In court Clark County District Judge John McGroarty suppressed the evidence. The Nevada Supreme Court in a 4-3 ruling upheld that decision.

In court it was stated by the defense that in the search the car was completely dismantled and reduced to junk. All of this was done with an officer's bare hands and a screwdriver.

The courts argued the values of the Fourth Amendment. I wish to comment to the liberal-minded judges that the Fourth Amendment was not written into the Constitution to give the right to any individual or group of individuals to pour their deadly contaminants of drugs upon our people without penalty.
