Florence 'Florrie' Carrington

Florence 'Florrie' Carrington, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1918, in New York City. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired assembler for a manufacturer of electrical products.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Reyes of Ridgefield, Conn.; two sons, Wayne Carrington of Las Vegas and Michael Carrington of Mamaroneck, N..; two sisters, Doris King of California and Sylvia Henry of Queens, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Linda Sue Finley

Linda Sue Finley, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 7, 1951, in Brownsville, Texas. A resident for 48 years, she was a grande manges at the Excalibur.

She is survived by one sister, Sharron DeAngelo of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; and two aunts, Louise Scaggs of Las Vegas and Virginia Smith of Jacksonville Lake, Texas.

Barbara J. Hodge

Barbara J. Hodge, 57, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1942, in Glendale, Ariz. A resident for 26 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Grant; one daughter, Wendy D'Agostino of Las Vegas; two sons, Bryan Norris of Las Vegas and Ricky Norris of Reno; and six grandchildren.

Sandi Hughes

Sandi Hughes, 58, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for 17 years, she was a financial analyst for the federal government.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Wardle and Tracie Hamrick, both of Pahrump; her mother, Connie Zulk of Tonopah; three sisters, Cathie Clifford of Tonopah, Diane Lindsay of Kingman, Ariz., and Tami Strickland of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Tonopah Convention Center. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Harvey R. Jonas

Harvey R. Jonas, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Wisconsin. A resident for 13 years, he was a chemical company owner.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys; four sons, Steven Jonas of Eugene, Ore., Thomas Jonas of Palm Springs, Fla., Wade Jonas of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Mel Jonas of Luxemburg, Wis.; one brother, Glenn Jonas of Cedarburg, Wis.; two sisters, Irene Bertz and Ruby Graf, both of Sturgeon Bay; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Green Valley Lutheran Church, 1799 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Michael A. Jones

Michael A. Jones, 32, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was born Nov. 4, 1967, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Ola Cole of Houston; his father, Urle L. Jones of Las Vegas; three brothers, Jeffrey Jones of Evansville, Ind., and Clyde Mosly Jr. and William Hill, both of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Debra Mosly of Las Vegas, Vicky Mosly of Farmerville, Texas, and Lisa Curley of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Wednesday in the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 F St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Richard Lord

Richard Lord, 73, of Pahrump died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Fort Wayne, Ind. A resident for four years, he was a retired federal government sheet metal mechanic and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; four daughters, Garnet Shibler and Ginger Gray, both of Las Vegas, Georgia Bayer of South Bend, Ind., and Gina Miller of Mission Viejo, Calif.; one brother, Donald Lord of Huntington, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Eddie J. Lyons

Eddie J. Lyons, 45, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 14, 1954. A resident for several years, he was a Navy chief.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; two daughters, Amber Lyons of Henderson and Jonnie Jo Moore of Alabama; two sons, Lanis Lyons of Idaho and Melvin J. Lyons II of Florida; one stepson, Jack E. Cowan of Idaho; his father, Melvin Lyons; his mother and stepfather, Mildred and Jack Cowan; one sister, Muriel K. Lundy of Idaho; and two grandchildren.

Joseph A. Moran

Joseph A. Moran, 74, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 22, 1925, in Pennsylvania. A resident for three years, he was a federal government mail handler.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons, Tony Moran of Colorado and Michael Moran of Henderson; and two daughters, Debra Tamlin and Carol Skaggs, both of Colorado.

Margaret R. Nevins

Margaret R. Nevins, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 22, 1917, in Trenton, N.J. A resident for five years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Robert Nevins of Tucson, Ariz.; one daughter, Patricia Hulit of Lake Orion, Mich.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mass was scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Edith May Paris, 89, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. She was born May 10, 1910, in Georgia. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Long of Boulder City.

Ronald C. Smith, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 25, 1934, in Cleveland. A resident for 10 months, he was a planner/schedular.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; one son, Jay Smith of Pomona, Calif.; his father, Jack Smith Sr. of California; two brothers, Jack Smith Jr. of Los Angeles and Richard Smith of Victorville, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Richard J. Vasquez Sr., 57, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 13, 1942, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an upholsterer.

He is survived by his wife, Carmen; three daughters, Jessica Evans of Utah, Tina Vasquez of Florida and Shari Vasquez of Henderson; two sons, Ricky Vasquez of Utah and Joe Vasquez of Henderson; one sister, Maria McNeal of Florida; three brothers, Ray Vasquez, Robert Vasquez and John Vasquez, all of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

Ramona Turnbeaugh Walker

Ramona Turnbeaugh Walker, 79, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born June 12, 1920, in Utah. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Keith; and one son, K. Eric Walker of Henderson.

Oscar D. Woracheck, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1938, in Missouri. A resident for 30 years, he was an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; his mother, Igenis Beard of Anaheim, Calif.; three sisters, Ina Ritter of Phoenix, Jane Hall of Anaheim and Ann Wisman of Las Vegas; and one brother, Dennis Wisman of Las Vegas.

Edward L. Werckman, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1933, in Pierre, S.D. A resident for two years, he was an insurance salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; one son, Edward Werckman of Las Vegas; one daughter, Alta Werckman of Los Angeles; one sister, Mariann Schneider of Aberdeen, S.D.; and three grandchildren.
