Letter: Abusers of bears must be prosecuted

I support Mary Jo Brooks' Feb. 7 letter, "Abuser of bears should face punishment." Ms. Brooks questioned why Clark County animal control did not prosecute Bill Vergis or the party responsible for the abuse of these bears. Apparently, she asked Jim Boteilho, Clark County animal control director, this question and he repeatedly refused to answer.

I, too, would like to know why the abusers were not prosecuted. Please let the public know.
