Letter: Residents have priorities askew

Silvestri Middle School is said to be overcrowded and will get more so. Do the residents of the area think that their children are getting the proper attention to their needs, or would they like to see another Columbine incident because the students became "exacerbated." It is exasperating to read an article like this: that the residents are more exacerbated by dust than the proper education of their children.

I think the word exacerbate has been overworked in the media the past week or so, starting with the crash of Flight 261. Webster's 9th edition New Collegiate Dictionary defines the word: Exacerbate: Harsh -- Bitter -- Sharp -- To make violent or severe.
