Letter: Traffic signals endanger children

The lights don't give the pedestrian, who has pressed the button, his turn; the powers that be, obviously, have never had to catch a bus. However, the greatest crime is that these lights don't work near schools. When has a youngster ever had the patience to wait? His lesson is that "adults are more important than children"!
