Concepcion Corona Carmona

Concepcion Corona Carmona, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Mexico. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Justo; four sons, Urvano Carmona of Mexico and Miguel Carmona, David Carmona and Manuel Carmona, all of Las Vegas; three daughters, Magdalena Carmona and Maria DeJesus, both of Las Vegas and Ana Maria Carmona of Mexico; two sisters, Maria Corona and Guadalupe Corona, and three brothers, Juan Corona, Louis Corona and Roberto Corona, all of Mexico; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Hyman E. Dollar

Hyman E. Dollar, 79, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Dalbany, Texas. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired Air Force tech sergeant and a World War II and Korean War Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Thi Dao; two daughters, Revee Norek of Arizona and Kathy Dollar; three sons, Edward Dollar of Long Beach, Calif., and Tony Nguyen and Sonny Nguyen, both of Las Vegas.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Joyce Miller

Joyce Miller, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 22, 1930, in London. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired gaming hostess.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; one son, Kevin Miller of Sandy Valley; one daughter, Jackie Halbjorhus of Irvine, Calif.; four sisters, Violet Saunders, Lillian Munn, Rose Pleavin and Florence Cheshire, all of England; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service was 3 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Gene Poer

Gene Poer, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1935, in McAllen, Texas. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired bread company driver.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara; two daughters, Becky Schulz of Hansen, Idaho, and Sandy Sapper of Twin Falls, Idaho; his mother, Estelle Ross of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Poer of Dalton, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Bernard M. Shapiro

Bernard M. Shapiro, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 8, 1923, in San Francisco. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired owner of a gaming machine company and was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Shapiro of Sunnyvale, Calif.; one son, Leonard Shapiro of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jesse L. Willard

Jesse L. Willard, 29, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1970, in Newark, Ohio. A resident for 26 years, he was a convention lead man.

He is survived by one son, Jacob Willard, one daughter, Amber Willard, and his mother, Kandis Aranda, all of Las Vegas; and his grandfather, Jesse Bishoff of Henderson.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Anna T. Zingalis

Anna T. Zingalis, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Ohio. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Ohio. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
