Gang, 53, will begin work March 15 with the Administrative Office of the Courts, the agency through which the Supreme Court manages the state courts. He will earn $55,000 a year and report to Karen Kavanau, the court administrator.
A Las Vegas native, Gang has worked for 11 years as a court reporter with the Sun. He also worked for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Channel 8, KLAS-TV, and for Clark County as a public information officer for juvenile courts.
Kavanau said Gang will write some news releases, but will spend most of his time preparing information for a Web site, annual report and newsletters for the court system.
