Gourmet Games race into town

On your mark. Get set. Saute.

On Saturday noted chefs from more than 20 of Las Vegas' fine dining establishments will compete in the Second Annual Gourmet Games at Caesars Palace Grand Ballroom.

Culinary experts -- including chefs from Spago, the Four Seasons, Bellagio and Delmonico's -- will make appetizers, entrees and desserts available for tasting. Wine will also be served. General admission is $35 and $20 for students and seniors. Last year's event drew more than 1,500 people -- raised $65,000 for cystic fibrosis research and $5,000 for the Muriel Stevens UNLV Scholarship Fund which benefits culinary students.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for a private tasting for sponsors and $100 ticket holders and 12:30 p.m. for the public. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets.
