Tuesday's prep playoff results

BOYS BASKETBALL

Las Vegas 67, Basic 32:

Tremmell Darden scored 21 points and Coy Boykin added 16 as the Wildcats advanced to play Silverado in Friday's semifinals. Basic's Ian Atkins tallied 18 points in his final high school game.

Valley 79, Chaparral 57:

Chris Green poured in 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Vikings rolled into the semifinals. Sam Jackson scored 19 points and Matt Stovall added 14 for Valley.

Green Valley 75, Eldorado 55:

Nick Miller tallied 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Gators over the Sundevils. Jered Bedich added 19 points and eight rebounds for Green Valley, which outscored Eldorado 18-3 to start the second half.

Durango 80, Mojave 59:

Jamaal Brimmer scored 21 of his game-high 26 points in the first half as the Trailblazers cruised into the semifinal round. Matrel Johnson added 20 points and 15 rebounds for Durango, while Elijah Smith chipped in 23 points for the Rattlers in the losing cause.

Western 63, Cimarron-Memorial 53:

The Warriors withstood a 22-point, 13-rebound from Cimarron's DeShaun Houston to advance to Friday's semifinals. Western will face Durango Friday at Palo Verde, with the winner earning a state berth.

Bishop Gorman 66, Cheyenne 47:

The state's top-ranked team shook off a feisty Desert Shields squad in the second half to move within one game of the state tournament. The Gaels will take on Clark Friday night at Palo Verde.
