Letter: Tolerance of child abuse continues
Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 | 9:09 a.m.
Although we have laws against such crimes, tolerance of such continues. This tolerance has dire consequences.
There was a man in the neighborhood where I grew up who was mentally abused by his father and fellow classmates. He was a clown named John Wayne Gacy. You know the rest of the story, as do 33 young men and their families.
Maybe if bears and children were allowed to vote and had the money to contribute to campaigns, things would change.
