Letter: Performing arts center would be a downtown fit

He wants a performing arts center? Let it be! A good site is within arm's length of City Hall. Yep, the site of the doomed Neonopolis. Let's call it The Experience Park Annex. A sort of Persian Square, like in front of the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The basement garage is already built. All we need is a gazebo. Voila, problem solved. Since tax monies have been involved, we can give local school bands a forum to showcase their talent.
Remember, Wayne Newton started downtown. Can anyone think of a better way to get the old folks off their duffs than to go and see the grandchildren downtown?
