Former governor named to post

Miller has been friends with Walsh since the son of the missing-children's advocate was kidnapped and murdered. As Nevada governor, Miller helped Walsh change laws regarding missing children.

Walsh once credited Miller for helping save the Fox television show "America's Most Wanted" by launching a letter-writing campaign by governors and attorneys general.
