Inmate "suicide" will be investigated

Prison spokesman Glen Whorton said Benny Henry, 42, was found dead in his cell shortly after 1 a.m.

Even though it was branded an apparent suicide, the death is under investigation by prison and Carson City sheriff's investigators.

Henry was serving a 1.3- to four-year sentence for resisting a Douglas County public officer with a weapon. His sentence began in September.

Henry was housed in a cell by himself.
