Letter: Columnist's fault is common sense

Of course. Go find successful people in other large districts (or have been there), lay an offer on the table. We should do well. As you point out, there are a lot of reasons why leaders in other metropolitan areas would be more than interested.

We can do better than the last group. (There has to be a reason why that general retired with only one star.) If you're looking for a new chief executive officer for your company, among the first places you look are to your best competitors.

But that makes sense. I hold out little hope.
