Nuclear waste hearings scheduled

One hearing will be held Feb. 2 at Terrible's Lakeside Casino in Pahrump, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The other will be Feb. 3 at the St. Tropez-All Suite Hotel in Las Vegas, at the same times.
Ivan Itkin, director of the DOE's Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management agreed to extend the comment period to Feb. 28 at the request of the state of Nevada and local governments.
