'Media' partners food, fund-raising

Media Partners for Pets, which has saved more than 2,000 dogs and cats since being formed in 1997, is having a "Murder Mystery Dinner" as a fund-raiser in order to continue its work with animals. The dinner is Feb. 11 at the Gold Coast hotel-casino. The event begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be held at 7 p.m. The cost is $40 per person. Anyone wishing to be written into the plot of the murder mystery may contribute another $25.

All proceeds will go toward the group's goal: to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets.
