Roscoe E. Bahret

Roscoe E. Bahret, 43, of Pahrump died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born June 22, 1956, in Onaga, Kan. A resident for five years, he was a retired Marine Corps gunnery sergeant who served from 1974 to 94.

He is survived by one son, Joshua Bahret, and two daughters, Sarah Bahret and Stacy Bahret, all of Pahrump; six brothers, Bert Bahret of Topeka, Kan., Ernie Bahret of Lecompton, Kan., Earl Bahret, Vernon "Sam" Bahret of Silver Lake, Kan., and Bart Bahret of Belleville, Kan., and Steve Bahret of Pahrump; and five sisters, Illa Kay Koblar of Jacksonville, Fla., Ella May Bahret of Holton, Kan., Arla Ogle of Topeka, Karla Bahret of Silver Lake and Robin Valez of Henderson.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Pahrump LDS Chapel. Burial will be in Kansas under the direction of Tessendorf Chapel Oaks Funeral Home. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd., Pahrump, is handling local arrangements.

Brent Anthony Campbell

Brent Anthony Campbell, 55, of Pahrump died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for two years, he was born April 19, 1944, in Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Janine Lane of Florida; one brother, Patrick Campbell, and two sisters, Joan Decker and Jane Campbell, all of Michigan; and three grandchildren.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Pahrump. Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd., Pahrump, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations for the construction of the new church being built for Our Lady of the Valley.

The Rev. Mary Carroll

The Rev. Mary Carroll, 53, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Vicksburg, Miss. A resident for 53 years, she was a minister, founder and pastor of Greater Calvary Baptist Church for 37 years, a member of the Eastern Star, Nevada Interstate Baptist Convention and the West District Association.

She is survived by four daughters, Evangelist Mary Nunley, Evangelist Rose Parker, Erma Jean Carroll and Gina Carroll, and two sons, the Rev. Sam Carroll and the Rev. Albert Carroll, all of Las Vegas; and two granddaughters.

Visitation was scheduled noon-3 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A wake will be 7 p.m. today in Greater Calvary Baptist Church, 317 Madison Ave. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Emalee Eschardies

Emalee Eschardies, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 4, 1932. A resident for many years, she was a nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; seven sons, Paul L. Eschardies Jr., John M. Eschardies, Patrick L. Eschardies, Robert V. Eschardies and Joseph P. Eschardies, all of California, and Gene F. Eschardies and Owen T. Eschardies, both of Nevada; four daughters, Deborah Luna and Margaret Jacobson, both of California, Mary Eschardies of Nevada and Donna Eschardies of Wyoming; one brother, Michael Lane of California; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Jan. 27 in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Lionel G. Favreau

Lionel G. Favreau, 72, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Cohoes, N.Y. A resident for three years, he was a retired Internal Revenue Service officer, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; one daughter, Linda Michaels of Spofford, N.H.; three sons, Richard Favreau of Castle Rock, Colo., Thomas Favreau of Waterford, N.Y., and Glen Favreau of Henderson; one brother, Rene Favreau of Brownsville, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Michael Garrick

Michael Garrick, 50, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 20, 1949, in Fulton, Ala. A resident for four years, he was an operations manager and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his mother, Laurine Morse of Riviera, Ariz.; and one brother, Scott Harris of Bullhead City, Ariz.

Maurice E. Gilbert

Maurice E. Gilbert, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 13, 1952, in East St. Louis, Mo. A resident for more than eight years, he was an appliance company installer and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Summer C. Gilbert of Arizona; his father and stepmother, Donald and Dee Gilbert of Pennsylvania; one sister, Donna Christianson of Nevada; and one brother, Rickey Gilbert of California.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Darlene J. Karge

Darlene J. Karge, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Chicago. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by one son.

She is survived by three children; and one brother, Ian Peddieson of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Thordis A. Keyes

Thordis A. Keyes, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 6, 1904, in Honefoss, Norway. A resident for 60 years, she was a retired hotel cashier.

She is survived by two grandsons, Greg Nelson and Gary Nelson, and one granddaughter, Karen Miller and Sonjna Nelson, both of Las Vegas.

Services will be noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Peter H. Kim

Peter H. Kim, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born July 2, 1940, in Seoul, Korea. A resident for 11 years, he was a casino host.

He is survived by two sisters, Kay Hong of Los Angeles and Hae Shik Kim of Seoul; and two brothers, William Kim and Young Kim, both of Los Angeles.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Italia Elaine Lello

Italia Elaine Lello, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 30, 1915, in Norwood, Mass. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired hotel-casino cashier.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joseph; two sons, Richard Lello and Victor Lello, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Oree DiGiovanni of Santa Barbara, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Natasha Lissenkova

Natasha Lissenkova, 2 months, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 22, 1999, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Viadislou and Lilia Lissenkova of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at noon today in St. Paul's Orthodox Church, 5400 Annie Oakley Drive, Henderson. Burial will be in Boulder City Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Ronald P. Naef

Ronald P. Naef, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Philipsburg, Mont. A resident for 35 years, he was a mining inspector at the Nevada Test Site from 1965 to 1992 and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Babette; one daughter, Gayle Zienick of Kalamazoo, Mich.; one son, Russel Naef of Pavillion, Wyo.; his mother, Eleanora Adams, and one sister, Marie Dean, both of Big Fork, Mont.; one brother, John Naef of Sumner, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.

Quenton Gale Perkins

Quenton Gale Perkins, 62, of Dry Valley died Monday in a Caliente medical center. He was born Nov. 28, 1937, in Las Vegas. A lifelong Nevada resident, he was an engine operator for the Las Vegas Fire Department for 20 years and retired in 1988 and owned and operated Perkins Feed & Western Goods in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen; four children, V. Gale Perkins of Minden, Glenn Lee Perkins of McGill, Gina Gay Bills of Sterling, Utah, and Grant Justin Perkins of Panaca; his parents, Dale and Ruby Perkins of Alamo; three brothers including his twin, Clint Perkins of Toquerville, Utah, and Dennis Perkins and Mike Perkins, both of Alamo; two sisters, Ani Perkins of Carp and Regina Wilson of Alamo; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 8 p.m. services Friday in the Wiscombe Funeral Home, 730 Front St., Caliente. Additional visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to 11 a.m. services Saturday in the Pioche LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioche Cemetery.

Edward Schulze

Edward Schulze, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 39 years, he was a welder at Timet and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Ellen Schulze of Long Beach, Calif., and Paula Day of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Alyce of New Jersey and Dorothy of Texas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be private.

Selma Singer

Selma Singer, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 31, 1928, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired supervisor for Family Youth Services and an associate member of the National Association of Social Workers and American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by one daughter, Helen Rosenhaft of North Potomac, Md.; two sons, Saul Singer of Carson City and Steven Singer of Las Vegas; two sisters, Fran Dyller of Mount Arlington, N.J., and Esther Eisenstein of Montville, N.J.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Eian Scott Stutzman

Eian Scott Stutzman, 4 months, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1999, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his parents, Jeremy Stutzman and Audrey Johnson, and one sister, Destany Johnson, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Mary Dunn of Las Vegas, Kathy Stutzman of Yreka, Calif., and Richard and Linda Johnson of Ely.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Flossie Sullivan

Flossie Sullivan, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 17, 1903, in Pelahatchie, Miss. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived three daughters, Bessie White of Los Angeles and Minnie Washington and Velma Scott, both of Las Vegas; one son, Carnell Sullivan of Los Angeles; 35 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Lester F. Thomas

Lester F. Thomas, 73, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 8, 1926, in Des Moines, Iowa. A resident for 10 years, he was an aerospace plant manager, a Navy and Army veteran and a member of Masonic Lodge 372 in Gardena-Ascot, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Dennis Thomas of Whittier, Calif., and George Thomas of Henderson; one daughter, Sherry Thomas of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services and burial will be in Whittier.

H.E. 'Tommy' Thompson

H.E. "Tommy" Thompson, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 26, 1910, in Jefferson Township, Ark. A resident for 69 years, he was a retired operating engineer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Operating Engineers Local 12 for 53 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie R.; one stepson, Kenneth McQueen of Las Vegas; one sister, Violet Dietrich of Napa, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

David A. Thorsheim

David A. Thorsheim, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1933, in Montana. A resident for 44 years, he was a plant supervisor at James Hardie Gypsum Plant in Blue Diamond with 42 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; three daughters, Debra Highfill of Kalispell, Mont., Laurie Ewald of Albany, Ore., and Susan Flynn of Sparks; two sisters, Lucille Strasburg of California and Sylvia Fisher of Missoula, Mont.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Hyman Tive, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born July 21, 1912, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired department store salesman, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; one brother, Murray Tive of Columbus, N.J.; and one sister, Lillian Goldberg of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Francis J. Travers, 80, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born March 27, 1919, in Lowell, Mass. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired government postal worker, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Knights of Columbus 5448 and the Holy Family Retreat Association.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two daughters, Lynn Travers and Toni Goz, both of Henderson; one sister, Lillian Quinn of E. Chelmsford, Mass.; and one granddaughter, Lauren Goz of Henderson.

Frank J. Wagner

Frank J. Wagner, 82, of Boulder City died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Minnesota. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a rental company, a veteran of the National Guard, a member of the Masons and past patron of Eastern Star for 57 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, Robert Wagner of Eden Prairie, Minn., Frank Wagner of Apple Valley, Minn., and Steve Wagner of Mound, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.

Alexander James Wallace

Alexander James Wallace, 7 months, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born June 26, 1999, in Henderson.

He is survived by his parents, Marvin James and Yvonne Wallace of Henderson; his grandparents, Thomas James Grincewich of St. Augustine, Fla., and Julie Grincewich and Marvin E. and Caroline Wallace, all of Las Vegas; and his great-grandparents, Anita Lowe of Henderson and Fred Eckert of Las Vegas.
