Last year: Jeff Burton pulled ahead when Tony Stewart ran out of fuel on the 298th of 300 laps, winning his third consecutive July race in Loudon.
Last race: Burton earned his first victory at Daytona International Speedway and eighth overall in the last 16 months, taking the Pepsi 400. Roush Racing got its first stock-car victory at Daytona.
Fast facts: The Winston Cup leader bonus, which goes to the leader of the points standings if he wins that week's race, is at $170,000. It is the highest bonus since the inception of the award in 1996. ... Kenny Wallace had a career-best finish of second in last year's race. ... Three times the race has been won from a starting position outside the top 10. ... After 17 races, half the season, Bobby Labonte leads the standings by 52 points over Dale Earnhardt.

Last year: Dennis Setzer recovered from a midrace spin to win. Setzer raced back from the 19th position for a .355-second victory over Mike Wallace.
Last race: Rookie Kurt Busch held off Randy Tolsma on two late restarts to win the Sears DieHard 200 in West Allis, Wis. Busch became the youngest driver to win a NASCAR truck series event. Busch, 21, led 156 of the race's 200 laps, including the final 56.
Fast facts: Greg Biffle has 13 victories in his last 34 starts. ... Roush Racing has won 22 times, with five drivers, in series history. Dale Earnhardt Inc. holds the record with 25 victories. ... The next lap Jack Sprague leads will be the 3,500th of his career. ... Biffle leads the point standings by 82 over Sprague.

Last race: Jeff Green got his fourth victory of the year, beating Jeff Purvis by .797 seconds in the DieHard 250 in West Allis, Wis. Green, who started from the pole, has won three of the last four races to open a series-record 388-point lead over Todd Bodine in the standings.

Last race: Robert Moreno won for the first time after 16 years of racing and 70 CART starts, taking the Marconi Grand Prix in Cleveland. Moreno started from the pole and led 91 of the 100 laps.

INDY RACING LEAGUE
Last race: Eddie Cheever Jr. got his fourth career IRL victory and the first ever for an Infiniti engine in 34 races. Cheever took the lead on lap 172, and crossed the finish line with the Radisson 200 under caution in Fountain, Colo. Cheever also took the series points lead from Buddy Lazier, who blew his engine on the first lap.
