Mother knows value of youth's camping experience

A local woman says the Sun Camp Fund is "one in a million."

After reading about the program in the Sun, she says, she realized "how wonderful" it is. Her 9-year-old daughter recently went to camp on a full scholarship through the Sun Camp Fund because she could not afford the cost.

"I want to extend my appreciation and thanks to everyone that contributes to this fund, thus enabling children to go to camp," the woman wrote in a letter to the Camp Fund.

"My daughter had an enriching and wonderful time. It was an experience that she will always remember."
