Gaming analysts ranked

Bailey Dalton, formerly of CIBC World Markets, today led the Wall Street Journal's list of the nation's best casino industry analysts for 1999.

Dalton was followed by William Schmitt of Wasserstein Perella, Stuart Linde of Lehman Brothers, Dennis Forst of McDonald Investments and Robin Farley of Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown.

The Journal ranked analysts in numerous industries based on their 1999 stock picks and earnings forecasts.

Dalton last month joined C.E. Unterberg Towbin covering electronic marketing and travel.

She was the top casino stock picker by focusing on "misunderstood" casino operators that don't compete heavily on the Las Vegas Strip like Station Casinos and Isle of Capri Casinos, the Journal said.
