Casino operator reports loss

MINNEAPOLIS -- Indian casino operator Lakes Gaming Inc. reported a quarterly loss of $5.3 million or 50 cents per share vs. a profit in the year-ago quarter of $8.6 million or 80 cents per share.
The most recent quarter included an $18 million charge to settle lawsuits involving Stratosphere and Grand Casinos shareholders. After taxes, the charge totaled $10.6 million.
Revenue of $10.6 million was down from $14.9 million.
