Annell Y. Adkins

Annell Y. Adkins, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Lake Village, Ark. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired juvenile counselor in the health industry and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Dean; three sisters, Ann Jackson of St. Louis, Rossci Redmon of Kansas City, Mo., and Jewel Jones of Las Vegas; three brothers, Kenneth Redmon and Darryl Redmon, both of Kansas City and Leslie Jones of Las Vegas; and three grandsons.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Cody Jean Anderson

Cody Jean Anderson, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Texas. A resident for 25 years, she was a receptionist.

She is survived by her mother, Glenda Arneaud.

Maralee M. Anderson

Maralee M. Anderson, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1931, in Olympia, Wash. A resident for 41 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; two sons, John Anderson of Nampa, Idaho, and Jay Anderson of Livermore, Calif.; one daughter, Jill Ward, and one brother, James Way, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Reformation Lutheran Church, 580 E. St. Louis Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Blanchette

Dorothy Blanchette, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Marlboro, Mass. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired hotel gift shop saleswoman.

She is survived by three daughters, Marcia Madden of Henderson, Sandra Szot of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Linda Haines of Yorba Linda, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Sunday with a 3 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Franklin E. Cunningham

Franklin E. Cunningham, 81, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born June 29, 1919, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired railroad engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and El-Kal-Ah Shrine.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lola; two sons, Franklin Cunningham Jr. of California and Don Cunningham of Utah; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Bailey Robert Devoge

Bailey Robert Devoge, 3 days, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 19, 2000, in Henderson.

He is survived by his parents, Darrell and Jennifer Devoge, one brother, Keith, and one sister, Jenna, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Tom and Diane Smith of Las Vegas and Glenn and Sherrie Devoge of Henderson; and his great-grandparents, Amelia Smith, and Glenn and Joy Devoge, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be 9 a.m. Aug. 20 in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Timothy Forsythe

Timothy Forsythe, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 16, 1958, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, he was a laborer in the construction industry.

He is survived by three sons, Trinity Forsythe, Keefer Forsythe and Kyle Forsythe, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Norman and Carol Forsythe of Pahrump; two brothers, Gary Forsythe of Columbus, Ohio, and David Forsythe of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Judith and Valerie, both of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Eugene Gana Sr., 48, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born June 17, 1952, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 10 years, he was a painter in the construction industry and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; one daughter, Christine Gana of North Las Vegas; one son, Eugene Gana Jr., and one sister, Linda Duffney, both of Henderson; three brothers, Dennis Gana of Las Vegas, Charlie Pace of Lafayette, S.C., and Bob Pace of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Joseph Wesley Giles, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 3, 1931, in Baltimore. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired Army cook and Korean War and Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Jerome Joseph Giles of Philadelphia and Joseph Wesley Giles Jr. of Reno; four daughters, Antoinette Giles, Janet Giles and Tina Giles, all of Philadelphia and Nicole Kathleen Giles of Las Vegas; one brother, Thomas Giles of St. Albans, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

William Francis Jones

William Francis Jones, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1917, in Bridgeton, N.J. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired Honolulu police officer, a member of the Honolulu Police Association and Aha Hui Ona Makai Haole.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, William F. Jones Jr. and Charles A. Jones of Honolulu; three stepsons, Brendan Au of Lahaina, Hawaii, Darren Au of Culver City, Calif., and Damien Au of Honolulu; two daughters, Sandra Chun of Fairfox, Vt., and Joyce Watts of Cleveland; one stepdaughter, Lian Au of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

James F. Kronz Sr.

James F. Kronz Sr., 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1919, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired truck driver for a construction company, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by one son, James F. Kronz Jr. of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Marian E. Kuhlman

Marian E. Kuhlman, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 17, 1922, in Grand Haven, Mich. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired bus driver.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth A. Kotz of Las Vegas; one sister, Gertrude Palmer of Grand Haven; and two grandchildren.

Noel Nelson Lowe, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 17, 1933, in Gorman, Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired oil company superintendent and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; two daughters, Kathy Gaston and Debbie McKenzie, both of Nocona, Texas; three sons, Ken Hudson of La Mirada, Calif., Ron Hudson of Lompoc, Calif., and Rick Hudson of Nocona; two sisters, Tommye Lowe of Dallas and Sandy Schendler of Owasso, Okla.; two brothers, Larry Lowe of Abilene, Texas, and Gerry Lowe of Hamlin, Texas; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Florence Evelyn Carter Mohlman, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1913, in Midview, Utah. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Grant C. Mohlman and Scott R. Mohlman, both of Las Vegas and Carl G. Mohlman of Springville, Utah; one daughter, Lynda Mohlman-McArthur of Layton, Utah; one sister, LaVene Fryer of Salt Lake City; one brother, Byron Carter of Orem, Utah; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Glada V. O'Brien

Glada V. O'Brien, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 27, 1933, in Mudsands, Okla. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker, affiliated with the Las Vegas Gamble-Aires and active with the Las Vegas Gamblettes.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas M.; three daughters, Colleen O'Brien of Mayer, Ariz., Kristine Rowell of Los Gatos, Calif., and Dawn Kyles of Las Vegas; her mother, Minnie Herman of Mosier, Ore.; one brother, Dennis Herman of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Michael A. Pelletier

Michael A. Pelletier, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born June 28, 1922, in Westbrook, Maine. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired superintendent for a manufacturing firm and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.

He was preceded in death by one son, Conrad J. Pelletier on Aug. 14, 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Germaine T.; one daughter, Doris Ferrell of Las Vegas; one son, David Pelletier of Hudsonville, Mont.; two sisters, Germaine Lavigne of Castleton, Vt., and Theresa Brautigam of Naples, Maine; two brothers, Joseph Pelletier of Gorham, Maine, and Roger Pelletier of Summerfield, Fla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Pesek, 49, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Oak Park, Ill. A resident for five years, she was a claims officer for Workman's Compensation and a member of Employers of Nevada.

She is survived by her life partner, Beverly Maguill, and one stepdaughter, Rene Degonia, both of Las Vegas; one stepson, James Maguill of Santa Ana, Calif.; one brother, Robert Pesek, and one nephew, Aaron Pesek, both of Sacramento; and one step-grandson, Andrew Maguill of Santa Ana.

Bogdan Rytsar, 35, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1965, in the Ukraine. A resident for nine months, he was an asbestos worker in the construction industry.

He is survived by his parents, Mykola and Zoya Rytsar, and one sister, Vladimir Rytsar, all of Philadelphia.

Dorcas B. Shales, 84, of Boulder City died July 17 in a local hospital. She was born June 17, 1916, in Texas. A resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William D.; two sons, Norman Brustrom of San Jose, Calif., and Dari Shales of Sacramento; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Anna; three daughters, Beatrix Mitchell of Denver and Benita Tumblin and Kimberly Diaz, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Bennie D. Wilson and Larry T. Wilson, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
