Two die in rollover near Ely

The Nevada Highway Patrol said Artur Gutowski, 20, was northbound at a high speed early Wednesday when the car veered across the center line. Gutowski overcorrected and the vehicle turned sideways and rolled several times.

Both Gutowski and his 18-year-old passenger, Brian Wills, were ejected. Gutowski was pronounced dead at the scene and Wills died en route to a hospital.

The victims were from Des Plaines, Ill. A 17-year-old passenger, Dmitry Bolotin of Chicago, is hospitalized in stable condition.
