The Jammers Pride, a Las Vegas-based girls under-13 all-star soccer squad, advanced to the semifinals at last week's Region 4 Tournament in Pleasanton, Calif.
The team, coached by Clark High's Keith Wipperman, earned its spot in regionals by winning the State Cup for the second straight year with a 5-0 record at the event.
At regionals, the Pride finished 3-2, downing the favored Colorado Rush 1-0 along the way. Striker Britney Bostick scored the lone goal in that contest, while sweeper Katie Sebby and goalkeeper Keisha McDaniel spearheaded the shutout. By making it to the semifinals, the Pride earned a spot among the nation's top 16 clubs in the under-13 age group.
