68 teams to play in Holiday Prep

Perennial basketball powers Oak Hill (Va.) Academy and Mater Dei (Calif.) will be among the field of 68 for the 24th annual Holiday Prep Classic this December, tournament organizers announced Wednesday. Those two schools have combined to win five titles at the event.

The tournament will feature teams from 17 states and Canada. Games are slated for Dec. 18-21 at Durango and Green Valley high schools. Nevada will bring 19 teams into the event, including local schools Bishop Gorman, Durango, Bonanza, Centennial, Chaparral, Cimarron-Memorial, Desert Pines, Foothill, Green Valley, Las Vegas, Mojave, Palo Verde, Rancho, Silverado, Valley, and Western.
