Sherillean Bass

Sherillean Bass, 50, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 6, 1950, in St. Joseph, La. A resident for 32 years, she was a pharmacy clerk.

She is survived by her husband, Perry; one daughter, Debra D. Bass of North Carolina; two brothers, Will E. Parks Sr. and Robert L. Parks, both of Las Vegas; and three sisters, JoAnn Smith and Sharon Smith, both of Las Vegas, and Annie Lee Carter of Long Beach.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Willie Mae Bates

Willie Mae Bates, 77, of Las Vegas died May 11 in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Elgin, Texas. A resident for nine years, she was a porter.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Johns of Las Vegas; three daughters, Margie Robinson of Austin, Texas, Rosetta Waiters of Paramount, Calif., and Fannie Allen of San Antonio; one sister, Almetra Barbett of Palo Alto, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd., North. Services are scheduled 1 p.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lee B. Bearden

Lee B. Bearden, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 28, 1919, in Ellijay, Ga. A resident for 53 years, he was a retired county marriage commissioner, a World War II Army veteran, a longtime member of various veterans clubs, a charter member of the Elks of Las Vegas and a member of the Clark County Retired Employees Association.

He is survived by his wife, Vera, and two daughters, Betty Clark and Judy Binstein, all of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Geraldine Brandes

Geraldine Brandes, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Minneapolis. A resident for 35 years, she was an executive secretary in the hotel industry for 30 years.

She is survived by one brother, John Potter of St. Paul Park, Minn.

Audrey Louise Chapman Cristino

Audrey Louise Chapman Cristino, 74, of Las Vegas died May 4 in Las Vegas. She was born April 30, 1926, in Brownwood, Texas. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Tony, one daughter, Donna Cristino, one son, Phillip Cristino, all of Las Vegas; one brother, James Chapman of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Herbert L. Cooper, 69, of North Las Vegas died May 10 in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1930, in Marvell, Ark. A resident for 18 years, he was a supervisor for Ford Motor Co. and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Abrao Cooper; five daughters, Cindy McNiers of Tracey, Calif., and Judith Cooper, Evelyn Lester, Carrie Gabriel and Charlotte Abrao, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Gerald Cooper, Michael Cooper of Palm Spring, Calif., and Joseph Abrao of Las Vegas; two brothers, Raymond Cooper of Fresno, Calif., and Travis Cooper of Lexis, Ark.; two sisters, Kathryn Hartsfield and Jean Ritchie, both of Bigger, Ark.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

George Toma David Jr.

George Toma David Jr, 44, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 11, 1956, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 18 years, he was a flooring salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Keven; one daughter, Ashley David of Las Vegas; his father, George of Sun City, Ariz.; his mother, JoAnne; one brother, Tom David of Peoria, Ariz.; one sister, Vicki Korpa of Medford, Ore.

Claudia Angel Garcia-Stack

Claudia Angel Garcia-Stack, 3 months, 27 days, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 2000, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Octavio Garcia and Elizabeth Stack, one sister, Taysona Stack, one brother, De'shawn Stack, and her grandparents, Guillermina Garcia, Carmelo Garcia and Charlene Miller, all of Las Vegas.

Louis Martin Gomez

Louis Martin Gomez, 44, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 15, 1955, in Mexico. A resident for five years, he was an auto body worker and a member of the Corvette Club of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Corvette Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mitzy; one son, Leon Gates; one daughter, Sabrina Gates; and two sisters, Ruth and Alma Hernandez.

Doris Mae Hayton-Martin

Doris Mae Hayton-Martin, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in St. Louis. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post No. 2967 in Wilmington, Calif.

She is survived by one son, Jack Webb, two daughters, Linda Reitan and Sandra Dira, and one sister, Patricia Davis, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Romaine I. Herring, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Biglerville, Pa. A resident for 49 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jay; one daughter, Linda Pratt of San Antonio; one sister; five brothers; and two grandchildren.

Yasuko Nagy, 70, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Japan. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by four daughters, Juneko Crouch of Henderson, Mary Ann Hughson of Columbus, Ohio, Jo Ann Spiridigliozzi of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dinah Kiefer of Oak Park, Ill.; two sisters; one brother; and nine grandchildren.

Addie Ruth Phillips, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 17, 1948, in Hermitage, Ark. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Theodis, one daughter, Johnnie Ruth Phillips, and one son, Willie M. Phillips, all of Las Vegas; her parents, Ollie Ruth Childs and Ortho Poole, both of Hermitage; and three grandchildren.

William Martin Plassmeyer, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, he was in the auto sales business.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; three sons, Mike Plassmeyer and Joseph Plassmeyer, both of Pahrump, and Martin Plassmeyer of California; three daughters, Michelle Weber and Madonna Hyde, both of California, and Carolyn Putnam of Las Vegas; one sister, Dorothy Leck of Colorado; and 11 grandchildren.

Delores M. Ritchie

Delores M. Ritchie, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 4, 1919, in Los Angeles. A near lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Edward D. Moore and Michael E. Ritchie, both of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Lonnie R. Ross, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 5, 1933, in North Carolina. A resident for 40 years, he was a superintendent with Sprint Communication and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Pam Neiry Spagnolo, and son, Lonnie Coleman Ross, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Bertha Ross, one sister, Lorene Sutton, and brother, Junior Ross, all of North Carolina; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled three hours prior to 5 p.m. services Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Christine M. Russell

Christine M. Russell, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 10, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired beauty salon manicurist.

She is survived by two sisters, Rose DeMartino od New York City and Catherine Mutinelli of Florida; and one brother, Salvatore Arnoa of New Jersey.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today at Palm Memorial Park.

Archie Edward Scott

Archie Edward Scott, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born March 21, 1925, in Iowa City, Iowa. A resident for 22 years, he was a welder for a shipyard.

He is survived by his companion, Ruth; two sons, Eric and Andre, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Adrienne of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mary Hopson aka Betty and Alice Jean Andrews, all of Los Angeles.

He is survived by one son, Gary Wakefield of Santa Ana, Calif.; his mother, Dorothy Wakefield of Seal Beach, Calif.; and one sister, Sharon Springer of Westminster, Calif.

Rose Warren

Rose Warren, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born March 31, 1917, in Atlantic City, N.J. A resident for nine years, she was a retired businesswomen in the investments industry.

She is survived by two step-sons, Clifford Warren and Scott Warren, both of Colorado.

Dave K. Woodhouse, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1932, in England. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired brick mason in the construction industry, a member of the Brick Masons Local 4 and he worked for the Gold Coast as an assistant transportation supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Marnos; two daughters, Debra Rudametkin of Mexico, and Kimberly Williams of Monrovia, Calif.; one sister, Judith Hollingshead of England; and seven grandchildren.
